Job description

Multi Image Group (MIG) is the preeminent live event, exhibit, and experiential agency. We focus on bringing talent, creativity, and technology together to strategically design, create, produce, and stage the most exciting and meaningful experiences on earth. We are seeking experienced applicants for a full-time Exhibit Project Manager.

The ExhibitProject Manager is the central driver of MIG's exposition projects - owning the full lifecycle from client engagement and proposal development through on-site execution and post-show close-out. This role demands a seasoned production professional who can manage budgets, timelines, design coordination, vendor relationships, and on-site crews across multiple concurrent projects, both in-office and on-site.

  • Manage multiple expo projects concurrently from planning through post-show close-out, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the full project lifecycle; guiding clients through MIG products and services. The size and scope of a given project will determine the necessary, account management duties required.
  • Collaborate with strategy, design, logistics, and delivery teams to ensure cohesive project outcomes; lead and participate in pre-production meetings and client reviews.
  • Lead proposal development, including pricing strategy, SOW creation, and timeline alignment; evaluate project feasibility prior to submission.
  • Create and manage detailed project budgets encompassing labor, travel, equipment, fabrication, freight, and vendor costs; prepare change orders and reconcile post-show expenses.
  • Generate and revise CAD floor plans and layouts (Vectorworks or similar); review all fabrication and construction drawings prior to production for accuracy against client specs and venue requirements.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and on-site readiness: rigging, power distribution, internet/data, ADA compliance, fire marshal regulations, and all venue and show management requirements.
  • Oversee shipping, freight tracking, equipment logistics, labor scheduling, and install/dismantle oversight; manage exhibitor service orders through GSC portals and show contractor kits.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors including AV providers, rigging companies, EACs, and specialty contractors; schedule and book local union and non-union I&D labor as needed.
  • Supervise on-site crews; serve as the central communication hub between the client, show management, official contractors, and MIG internal teams during event production.
  • Ensure quality control, documentation, and time tracking on-site; conduct post-show damage inspections and close-out reporting.
  • Conduct site visits at contracted or prospective venues to assess production feasibility and logistical requirements.
  • Ascertain exhibitor requirements and manage all follow-up activities to ensure a successful event; account for all technical expenses including crew travel, per diem, shipping, and labor.
  • Maintain compliance with internal file management, reporting standards, and project management platform usage (e.g., Exhibit Force or equivalent).
Qualifications:
  • 3-7+ years of project management experience in trade show, exhibit fabrication, or live event production.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel (budgets, formulas, linked templates).
  • CAD proficiency: Vectorworks, AutoCAD, or similar for floor plan generation and revision.
  • Strong technical production knowledge including AV systems, power distribution, rigging, and show flow planning.
  • Proven team leadership and effective on-site decision-making; experience directing union and non-union I&D labor crews.
  • Excellent client-facing and crew communication skills; ability to serve as the central hub across clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable navigating GSC portals, exhibitor service kits, and EAC processes (Freeman, GES, Shepard, or similar).
  • Ability to interpret diverse instructions (written, diagram, or verbal) and read technical drawings and floor plans.
  • Willing to travel frequently (domestic and international) and work evenings/weekends as show schedules require; valid driver's license required.
  • Knowledgeable in conducting site visits at contracted or potential venues.
  • Preferred: CEM (Certified Exposition Manager) or CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation; experience with Exhibit Force, or similar PM platforms; bachelors degree in Event Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Desire to grow account management skills.
