Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Exeter, NH is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine servicing and inspections of critical building systems, including emergency generators, fire pumps, doors and lighting. You will read gauges, log boiler readings, lubricate moving parts, and work with electricians, HVAC techs and plumbers.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, technical school experience, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Major Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory of supplies such as belts, chains, lubricants, filters, and lighting needs.
• Provide general assistance to skilled trades such as electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other maintenance personnel.
• Inspect equipment to detect excessive noise and heat.
• Read thermometers and gauges, record readings, and maintain records and logs such as boiler logs and building logs.
• Lubricate fans, motors, and other mechanical parts.
• Inspect and replace worn and frayed belts.
• Inspect and replace air, water, and oil filters.
• Disassemble and assemble sheet metal components, fans, motors, and control units.
• Work off-site and/or independently as required.

Requirements

Pay Range

$22.66 - $33.32

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
