Job summary

St. Catherine University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Exercise & Sport Science. The position entails teaching the equivalent of 1.0 FTE annually, advising EXSS students, and developing an active line of scholarship with peer-reviewed dissemination.

Collaborate with undergraduate EXSS students on research, serve on departmental and university committees, and engage in service within the field. Competitive benefits and a comprehensive compensation package are offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science or related field.
• Knowledge and expertise, and ability to teach courses, in exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, strength and conditioning, introduction to exercise and sport science, exercise and sport science capstone.
• Prior experience developing and teaching labs in exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, and strength and conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of 1.0 FTE each academic year.
• Advise EXSS students as assigned
• Develops and maintains a line of scholarship, where annual peer-reviewed dissemination is expected (presentations and/or publications)
• Collaborate and mentor undergraduate EXSS students with research
• Serve on departmental, HSSH , and/or university-elected committees
• Perform service (reviews, editorial boards, membership and service with national organizations) within the field of expertise
