Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, seeks an energetic Exercise Specialist for our Redwood City fitness center. You will conduct fitness consultations, develop progressive programming and guide participants on equipment use to support healthy lifestyle goals.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in exercise science (or NCCA certification), current CPR/AED/First Aid, and strong Microsoft Office skills. On-site, full-time role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field required.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Knowledge of exercise testing and prescription, and ability to operate fitness tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations including movement screens and goal setting.
• Develop progressive fitness programming to motivate participants.
• Instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on health and fitness information and available programs.
• Complete internal development courses through the LMS.
• Maintain high-quality customer and client experience.
