Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a PRN Exercise Physiologist to evaluate and design exercise regimens for inpatients and outpatients under supervision. The role aligns with cardiopulmonary rehab guidelines and hospital policies to support patient recovery.

The candidate should have a BS in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology (master's preferred), plus ACSM/RCES credentials or equivalent.

Qualifications

• BS in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology; master's degree preferred.
• ACSM Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification preferred.
• BLS upon hire; ACLS within 6 months; ACSM certification preferred.
• Open availability for PRN schedule is required.

Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

• Under direct supervision of the Supervisor, in collaboration with the Cardiopulmonary Rehab Staff, the exercise specialist will evaluate, assess and develop an appropriate exercise regimen for inpatients and outpatients.
• Care will be provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, cardiopulmonary rehab policies and procedures and will be based on guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

What qualifications you will need:

• BS in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology. Master's degree preferred.
• Certification as an ACSM Exercise Specialist or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Certification preferred.
• BLS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire; ACSM certification preferred.
• Must have open availability for PRN schedule.
