Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks an Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab in Arlington Heights with rotation to Kildeer. The role supports cardiac rehabilitation programs, develops individualized exercise plans, and monitors patients during sessions.

Minimum 1+ year rehab experience preferred; requires CPR and ACLS within 6 months. Schedule is PRN with hours from 6 am to 7 pm; no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• 1+ year cardiac/pulmonary rehab experience preferred.
• ECG interpretation skills required or highly valued.
• Experience in exercise prescription and patient monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for cardiac/pulmonary rehab.
• Monitor patients during exercise including vital signs and ECG.
• Modify plans based on patient response and progress.
• Lead group exercise sessions with warm-up and cool-down.
• Educate patients on exercise, risk factors, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Support progression toward independent home-based exercise.

Hourly Pay Range:

$27.14 - $40.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Exercise Physiologist – Cardiac Rehab
• Location: Arlington Heights (with rotation to Kildeer)
• Hours: 6 am- 7 pm
• Schedule: As needed - PRN
• No weekends or holidays

What you will need:

• 1+ year of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation experience highly preferred ECG (EKG) interpretation skills
• Exercise prescription and patient monitoring experience
• Bachelor of Science degree in an exercise science or a related field (e.g. Kinesiology or Physical Education). Emphasis in exercise physiology preferred. MS preferred
• Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (within 6 months of hire)
