Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights is seeking an Exercise Physiologist for Cardiac Diagnostics. The role involves supporting cardiac stress tests, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, accurate testing.

Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology is required, with a Master’s preferred. CPR/BLS is required, ACLS within 6 months of hire; 1 year of experience or internship preferred. Full-time, day shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology required; Master's preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of experience as Exercise Physiologist or internship highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac stress testing: patient prep, exercise monitoring, and response assessment.
• Monitor vitals, symptoms, and tolerance during testing; communicate changes to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to ensure safe patient care and accurate documentation.

Hourly Pay Range: $27.14 - $40.71 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Diagnostics

Position Highlights

• Position: Exercise Physiologist - Cardiac Diagnostics
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours per week
• Hours: Day Shift, 7:30 am-4:00 pm
• On-Call: Rotating weekend call (1-2 times per month)
• Required Travel: Floating to Schaumburg or 1632 location as needed
• Holidays: No

What you will do

• Assist with cardiac stress testing, including patient preparation, exercise monitoring and assessment of patient responses.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms and patient tolerance during cardiac diagnostic testing, communicating changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe patient care and maintain accurate documentation of testing procedures.

What you will need

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology required. Master's degree preferred.
• Certification: Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS certification required. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• Experience: 1 year of experience as Exercise Physiologist or previous internship highly preferred
