Job summary

The Minnesota Vikings seek a Vice President, Safety & Security, to lead enterprise-wide safety, security, and risk across all operations. This executive role partners with Legal, HR, Facilities, and Football Operations to protect people, assets, and brand while ensuring NFL compliance.

The role requires a track record of senior leadership, crisis management, and strong communication with ownership and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Senior-level leadership experience (10+ years) in security, emergency management, investigations, or risk.
• Ability to lead large-scale safety, security, or risk management functions in complex, high-visibility organizations.
• Proven crisis leadership, including decision-making under pressure and coordination across diverse teams.
• Experience developing and operating enterprise risk management, business continuity, and emergency response programs.
• Strong ability to partner with Human Resources/People & Culture on employee safety, workplace issues, and organizational well-being.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and governance for security operations across multiple facilities.
• Act as the central point of accountability for safety and security matters impacting operations, employees, and ventures.
• Deliver risk assessments and strategic recommendations to Ownership and senior leadership.
• Lead incident management planning, drills, and crisis response activities across the organization.
• Oversee security technologies, access control, and vendor partnerships to protect people and assets.
• Collaborate with Legal, HR, Communications, and Operations to address incidents and investigations.
