Job summary

Minnesota Vikings in Eagan, MN seeks a Vice President of Safety and Security to provide enterprise-wide leadership for identifying, assessing, and reducing safety and security risks across all operations.

This executive role partners with HR, Legal, IT, Finance and stadium operations to ensure NFL compliance, crisis management, business continuity, investigations, and fan conduct oversight.

Qualifications

• Senior-level leadership experience in security, emergency management, investigations, or risk-related fields.
• Ability to lead large-scale safety, security, or risk management functions in complex organizations.
• Crisis leadership with decision-making under pressure and coordination across teams.
• Experience developing enterprise risk management, business continuity, and emergency response programs.
• Strong partnership with Human Resources on employee safety and wellbeing.
• Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance environments related to safety and labor.
• Experience in professional sports, large venues, or major events preferred.
• Advanced communication skills for engaging executives, employees, partners, and governing bodies.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and governance for security operations across multiple facilities.
• Serve as central accountability for safety and security across the organization.
• Deliver risk assessments and strategic recommendations to ownership and leadership.
• Provide updates on safety readiness, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Ensure NFL security policy compliance and regulatory audits.
• Oversee incident response planning, crisis management, and business continuity.
• Lead investigations and coordinate with Legal and HR on sensitive matters.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to align safety with business goals.
