Job summary

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority in Virginia seeks a Senior Vice President of Engineering to provide strategic and tactical leadership for construction safety, quality assurance, planning, design, construction, capital development, and environmental engineering for two major airports and related properties in the national capital area.

This executive role reports to the COO and directs engineering offices located at DCA and IAD, aligning complex projects with regulatory requirements,

Qualifications

• Ten years of progressively responsible engineering experience with emphasis in civil engineering and construction management.
• Experience as a second-level or higher supervisor of engineers.
• Knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and practices; architecture and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic vision and priorities for engineering, capital development, and construction investments.
• Ensure projects meet specifications, stay within budget, and maintain ethical, customer-focused service.
• Oversee development of CCP, CIP, and related programs and specifications.
• Coordinate with airports and offices to ensure effective project delivery.
• Establish KPIs and improve construction management processes.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture
