Job summary

Magellan Health seeks a VP of Data and Analytics to lead the enterprise data and analytics capability across clinical, operational, and financial decision-making. The role guides data engineering, governance, BI, and AI/ML enablement, building a modern, governed insight platform.

The leader will transform data infrastructure, oversee regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CUI, CMMC), and manage a 30+ person team to deliver data products for stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or data engineering.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role owning a data and analytics organization.
• Experience leading enterprise data governance programs and data quality operations.
• Strong financial management, budget ownership, and vendor negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own a multi-year enterprise data and analytics strategy.
• Oversee data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake/warehouse platforms, and MDM.
• Lead enterprise BI, self-service reporting, and advanced analytical models.
• Build and retain a high-performing data and analytics organization.
• Manage a $3M–$5M annual budget and oversee key vendor relationships.
