Job summary

Luxford Living is seeking a highly accomplished, hands-on EVP of Construction to join our executive leadership team. This role will direct all physical construction, value-add renovations, and CapEx initiatives across our 25-property Sunbelt portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings extensive owner-operator experience managing Class B, C, and D garden-style multifamily communities with strategic oversight and hands-on execution.

Qualifications

• Multifamily expertise leading construction and CapEx for portfolio properties (Owner-Operator or Regional Developer background).
• Proven experience executing multi-million-dollar value-add strategy plans and asset turnarounds.
• Deep understanding of building envelope systems, roofing, HVAC, plumbing and electrical work.
• Established experience sourcing, bidding and managing regional vendor networks and GCs.
• Comfort with lender inspections, draw processes, and capital reserve requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly to properties across the Sunbelt.

Responsibilities

• CapEx & Major Project Management: lead strategy, budgeting, scope creation and execution for portfolio-wide improvements.
• Value-Add Renovations & Rebuilds: oversee interior/exterior refurbishments and complete redesigns.
• Sunbelt Vendor & Contractor Management: source and direct third-party contractors and vendors.
• Building Systems & Infrastructure: act as technical authority on major mechanical upgrades and replacements.
• Lender & Compliance Oversight: manage lender draw inspections and permit approvals.
• Quality Assurance & Sign-Off: conduct site visits and approve contractor milestones.
