Job summary

Beltrami Electric Cooperative in Bemidji, MN seeks an experienced VP/CFO to join the executive leadership team. The role drives financial strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports long-term infrastructure investments while serving its 22,500+ members in a growing service area.

The incumbent will oversee Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and Information Technology, report to the CEO and Board, and lead strategic planning. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in accounting/finance or related field.
• Minimum five years of senior financial leadership experience.
• Experience with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic advisor to President & CEO and Board of Directors.
• Lead Finance, Accounting, Payroll, and IT teams.
• Direct financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and risk management.
• Ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Support long-term infrastructure investments and growth.
• Present results and recommendations to leadership and lenders.
