Job summary

Tusker, a nationwide technology solutions company, seeks a Cyber Security Principal to serve as a senior client-facing advisor, acting as a virtual CISO for assigned clients. You will lead executive advisory relationships, mature cybersecurity programs, and align security with business priorities and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in cybersecurity with governance and program leadership.
• Experience as CISO/vCISO or senior security executive.
• Willingness to travel and reside near Chicago area.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary trusted cybersecurity advisor to client executives and boards for assigned accounts.
• Lead governance, risk, and maturation efforts with multi-year roadmaps.
• Advise on alignment with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53/171, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Develop incident response and cyber resilience plans, including executive exercises.
