Kalman & Company is seeking an Executive Systems Engineer to support the full lifecycle from concept to fielding in DoD C5ISR programs. This contingent role demands top-tier systems engineering leadership and strategic guidance across domains.

You will drive complex integration, ensure interoperability with warfighting capabilities, and mentor the engineering team while addressing DOTMLPF implications. US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 15 years of related systems engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• US Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance and oversight across all systems engineering activities for Army C5ISR products.
• Lead complex integration efforts to ensure interoperability with current and emerging warfighting capabilities; identify and mitigate program risks; drive innovation and modernization priorities.
• Represent the program at technical forums and mentor the systems engineering team.
• Deep understanding of DOTMLPF analysis and its impact on system design and implementation.

Job description

Kalman & Company is seeking to hire an Executive Systems Engineer. This person will support all phases of the system lifecycle, from concept development through fielding and beyond, adhering to DoD guidance, IEEE 1220 standards, and Army C5ISR program-established processes. This is a contingent position tied to a proposal effort. The salary offered will be commensurate with the qualifications held by the individual.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Highly experienced and technically recognized Senior Systems Engineering leaders will provide strategic guidance and oversight across all systems engineering activities for Army C5ISR products.
• They will lead complex integration efforts, ensuring seamless interoperability with current and emerging warfighting capabilities. This role will be responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating program-level risks, driving innovation in C5ISR technologies, and ensuring alignment with Army modernization priorities.
• Executive level personnel will represent the program at key technical forums and will be responsible for mentoring and developing the technical expertise of the systems engineering team.
• They will have a deep understanding of DOTMLPF analysis and its impact on system design and implementation.

Qualifications and Skills

Required knowledge and years of experience

• US Citizenship is required.
• An Active TS/SCI is required.
• Candidate shall have 15 years of experience related to job responsibilities.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline.
• Understanding of DOTMLPF analysis and its impact on system design and implementation.

Preferred

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) desired
