Job summary

Vanderbilt University in Nashville seeks a Leadership Communications Specialist (TERM) to craft speeches, remarks, talking points and other executive materials for the Chancellor and senior leaders. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
5+ years of experience in executive communications or related fields.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, audience-focused materials.

Responsibilities

Serves as speechwriter for Chancellor and senior leadership.
Produces high-quality content at scale using editorial judgment and AI-assisted workflows.
Synthesizes information from meetings, briefings, and research into executive communications.
Collaborates with university partners to ensure messaging aligns with institutional priorities.
Maintains confidentiality and professionalism in all communications tasks.
Manages multiple projects with varying timelines in a fast-paced environment.
