Berkeley Hall Club, Inc. is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead a high-volume kitchen team and oversee daily culinary operations for members and guests.

You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to maintain quality, presentation, and cost control across all service styles, including banquets and à la carte dining. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage busy periods while ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and adherence to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in upscale dining
• Ability to manage high-volume operations
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Executive Chef to attain highest member/guest satisfaction
• Create menu items and daily specials for a la carte and special occasion menus
• Scheduling must be approved by Executive Chef
• Ensure quality of food preparation and presentation through active communication in all kitchens
• Train and supervise culinary team members in preparing items to recipe standards
• Food cost control and inventory
• Maintain sanitation procedures and OSHA compliance
• Purchases of food products as par levels dictate
• Maintain food storage, receiving, rotating and stocking as par levels dictate
• Exhibit scheduling knowledge and strong interpersonal skills
• Pursue and compare food costs with vendors to meet goals
• Work under pressure during busy periods
• Communicate issues to Executive Chef and line cooks
• In absence of Sous Chef, supervise kitchen department
• In absence of Executive Chef, supervise day-to-day kitchen operations
