Alterra Mountain Company is seeking an Executive Sous Chef for Stratton Mountain Club. You will lead kitchen staff, oversee menu planning for two dining facilities—eLevation and Buffet— and help manage events, inventory and costs.

The role requires 3–5 years in culinary leadership, a preferred culinary degree, and strong supervisory skills. Evening, weekend and holiday work is expected with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred.
• 3–5 years culinary experience required.
• Prior kitchen supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for Club kitchen staff, ensuring quality, service and safety.
• Create and execute menus for eLevation and Timberhall facilities.
• Assist with banquets, catering events and vendor relations.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff; ensure health regulations compliance.
• Drive innovation to exceed guest expectations and company goals.
• Open/close kitchen areas and manage assigned stations.
