The Stratton Mountain Club at Stratton Mountain Resort, operated by Alterra Mountain Company, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef across kitchen operations for two dining venues, supervise staff, plan menus, and manage inventory and expenses.

This full-time, year-round role offers competitive compensation ($76,000–$82,000) based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits and lifestyle perks for year-round employees.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years culinary experience.
• Prior kitchen supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and adapt to role shifts.

Responsabilités

• Provide leadership and direction for Club kitchen staff, maintaining standards of quality, service, profit and safety.
• Assist in menu development for two dining facilities (eLevation and Timberhall).
• Support banquet and catering events, vendor relations, and staffing.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef and Club Manager on events and operations.
• Train kitchen staff on safety and health regulations; drive innovation.
• Address guest concerns professionally and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Ensure proper stock rotation and safe handling of products.
• Open/close assigned kitchen areas and manage equipment use.
