Thompson Palm Springs Resort is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team in Palm Springs, CA. You will assist the Executive Chef daily to elevate guest experiences through strong kitchen operations and menu execution.

The role emphasizes supervision of the culinary team, cost control, and maintaining Hyatt brand standards while delivering outstanding hospitality in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of all kitchen operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills.
• Experience with training, financial management and customer service.
• Culinary education and/or hotel culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative menu items that adhere to Hyatt brand standards.
• Plan, coordinate and implement special events and holiday functions.
• Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring.
• Lead the team toward exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction.
• Monitor food production, ordering, cost and quality for financial performance and control.
• Ensure proper safety and sanitation of all kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Organize and facilitate departmental meetings, training and goals setting.
