Job summary

Caption by Hyatt Hillsboro is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to plan and direct all kitchen food preparation and lead a team in a fine-dining setting. This role requires supervising staff, maintaining high culinary standards, and supporting the executive chef with hiring, training and operational tasks.

You will oversee daily kitchen operations, develop menus with the executive chef, enforce food safety and quality controls, and ensure timely, high-quality plate execution across service periods.

Qualifications

• Degree from a reputable Culinary School or College.
• At least 5 years of culinary experience in a fine-dining restaurant.
• 2 years of kitchen supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct all food preparation in the kitchen.
• Supervise staff and solve problems as they arise.
• Assist the Executive Chef in hiring, training and other admin duties.
