Unidine seeks an Executive Sous Chef in Evanston, IL to support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. You will prepare or direct meals per corporate programs and guidelines.

Located within Compass Group USA, this role requires culinary expertise and strong leadership. The position offers competitive pay of $70,000–$75,000 with merit increases and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience.
• Mastery of a wide variety of kitchen positions and stations.
• Knowledge of food cost and how it pertains to a kitchen, product and quality identification.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high quality food items are creatively prepared and presented cost effectively.
• Assists in planning, ordering, inventory and food preparation.
• Supports cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
• Supervises staff to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Motivates and trains back-of-house employees to meet operations objectives.
