Job summary

Talently in Deerfield Beach, FL, is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead a high-volume, scratch kitchen by partnering with the Executive Chef. This waterfront restaurant offers a competitive base salary and quarterly bonuses, plus a path to greater responsibility.

You will train and develop the kitchen team, manage seafood and proteins, control food and labor costs, and ensure safety and quality during busy service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a high-volume, scratch kitchen in a full-service restaurant.
• Ability to train and develop Sous Chefs and kitchen staff.
• Strong food cost, inventory, and labor cost control skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily back-of-house operations and support the Executive Chef.
• Lead and develop Sous Chefs and kitchen staff.
• Ensure food quality, presentation, and ticket times during peak service.
• Monitor costs, waste, and efficiency; maintain safety standards.
• Partner with Executive Chef on menu execution; step into chef role when needed.
