Chartwells Higher Ed on the University of Houston campus is seeking an Athletics Executive Sous Chef to oversee kitchen operations, ensuring safety and high standards for staff and diners. You will direct meal preparation in line with corporate programs and guidelines, contributing to high-end dining for UH athletics.

This role collaborates on menu development, cost controls, and program enhancements, while leading FOH/BOH prep and staff training for events and premium dining spaces.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary leadership and kitchen management.
• High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of food trends, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office; willing to participate in client satisfaction programs.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef with controlling costs and expenditures.
• Assist with planning and creating menus for events and daily service.
• Produce and execute catering events for athletics venues and guests.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
