Job summary

The Elia Group LLC in Detroit, MI, operates Parc and related hospitality venues. We seek an Executive Sous Chef to support the Executive Chef, lead kitchen operations, and drive quality, safety, and efficiency across our dining programs.

Candidate must have 5+ years as a Sous Chef in fast-paced environments, strong leadership, and ServSafe Certification. Excellent menu development, cost control, and staff mentorship skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong culinary skills and a deep passion for food preparation and presentation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience training and mentoring kitchen staff.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while upholding high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and cost control preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively coordinate kitchen operations.
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate required.

POSITION SUMMARY Parc is seeking a passionate and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the highest quality of food preparation and service across our hospitality venues. The Executive Sous Chef will support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and innovation in our culinary offerings.
