Job summary

ELIA Group in Detroit is seeking an administrative associate to ensure a seamless dining experience for Parc guests and to support restaurant operations.

Responsibilities include handling reservations, updating menus, coordinating with events, managing scheduling, inventory, and data entry in Restaurants 365. Ideal candidate has a high school diploma, admin experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant coursework or certifications in hospitality or administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and office equipment.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Utilize Restaurants 365, input invoices, understand COGs, and assist with counts monthly.
  • Assist in regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety of food & beverage areas.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

You will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests and supporting the restaurant’s administrative functions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Stamina and Endurance: Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during shifts, often in fast-paced or busy environments.
  • Strength: Capability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as luggage, equipment, or cleaning supplies, typically weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skill in handling a variety of tasks, such as cleaning, carrying items, or assisting guests with luggage.
  • Mobility: Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and reach in order to perform various tasks throughout the facility.
  • Good Vision and Hearing: Necessary to observe guests entering the restaurant, respond to customer needs, and communicate clearly with staff and patrons.
  • Strength: Ability to carry menus, help rearrange seating or assist with light cleaning tasks if needed.
  • Calm Under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced, sometimes hectic environment, especially during peak hours.
  • Polished Appearance: While not purely physical, maintaining a professional and well-groomed appearance is often required for interacting with guests in a front-facing role.
