About Boka Catering Group: Boka Catering Group provides the ultimate catering experience for events requiring premiere restaurant-quality service and cuisine. Executive Sous Chef Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff at commissary and offsite events
  • Lead BOH at offsite events
  • Assist in ordering products based on par systems and inventory management, overseeing all ordering and inventory to ensure low food costs
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, reviewing, and terminating staff
  • Manage staff schedules and ensure efficient cuts whenever possible
  • Maintain open communication with management and participate in meetings
  • Oversee quality control of all food production and execution
  • Develop unique and visually appealing plating designs
  • Create new menu items based on guest requests and seasons, recording recipes for consistency
  • Enforce high sanitation standards to uphold health and safety regulations
  • Address kitchen-related issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain BOH systems daily, including walkthroughs, logs, checks, and prep lists
  • Ensure all BOH systems are used according to the Executive Chef's specifications
  • Complete and maintain inventories with the purchaser
  • Understand and analyze Purchase and Loss Statements monthly
  • Participate in R&D with the Executive Chef and clients to develop dishes
  • Report directly to the Chef de Cuisine

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of high-volume catering experience
  • Patient and empathetic attitude
  • High standards of cleanliness
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Highly organized and efficient at multi-tasking
  • Experience in mass-volume production

This position is ideal for someone dedicated to excellent service and eager to join a hardworking, fun team!

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Use tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and effectively
  • Stand and walk throughout the shift, including stairs and uneven surfaces
  • Work in hot and cold environments
