Job summary

Hoxton Circle in Santa Monica is seeking an Executive Recruiter for Finance & Accounting. You will run a full-desk, consultative search business and work directly with CFOs, Controllers, VPs of Finance, and senior professionals across LA with leadership and ownership from day one.

You will build a high-quality executive network, manage discovery through close, and broker placements with peers. Hybrid setup: 3–4 days in office in Santa Monica.

Executive Recruiter, Finance & Accounting

The opportunity

You'll run a full desk, consultative search business focused on Finance & Accounting and executive level roles, working directly with CFOs, Controllers, VPs of Finance, PE backed leadership teams, and senior finance professionals across LA. You'll be trusted with real autonomy from early on, and supported to build a desk that's genuinely yours.

What the role actually involves

• Building and deepening a high quality network across Finance & Accounting at the executive level
• Owning searches end to end: discovery, strategy, execution, close
• Creating opportunities through proactive outreach and real market intelligence
• Co brokering placements with senior peers and sharing insight
• Operating like a business owner inside the firm, with real autonomy and accountability

Who we're looking for

• Demonstrable intelligence, first and foremost. We care how you think, and we'll probe it properly in interview. Come ready to show how you've worked through hard problems, in or out of work.
• Real curiosity and commercial instinct. You read a situation, find the angle, and act on it.
• A hunter mentality and the work ethic to sustain it.
• Resilience and the appetite to build a desk from scratch.
• The adaptability to pick up our systems, processes, and data integrity standards fast, and the discipline to own them rather than treat them as box ticking.
• This suits people relatively early in their working lives, whether you're a year or two out of university or making an early move into recruitment from another commercial field. Recruitment experience is welcome but not required. Where you do have it, it counts when it comes with current drive, not a reputation you're living off.

Compensation

• Base salary +
• Uncapped commission ++
• Year one OTE of $125,000+, with meaningful upside depending on experience
