With deep sector expertise spanning automotive, industrial, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and private equity-backed portfolio companies, we partner closely with clients to build exceptional leadership teams that drive growth and transformation.

APA Search is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Executive Recruiter to support retained searches across these core sectors. This person will work closely with our internal team to drive top-of-funnel sourcing, candidate screening, scheduling, and coordination to ensure a high-touch, efficient, and professional process.

The ideal candidate brings experience from an executive search firm or in-house search function and is comfortable communicating directly with C-suite executives. While familiarity with our key sectors is a plus, an industry-agnostic mindset and the ability to adapt quickly across verticals is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage targeted sourcing lists aligned with each search’s strategy and client needs
• Organize and maintain candidate pipelines using internal tools, ensuring accuracy and visibility across all active searches
• Lead initial outreach efforts, including messaging and scheduling, to engage high-potential C-suite candidates
• Conduct first-round screening calls to assess qualifications, interest, and readiness
• Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews and client meetings with professionalism and efficiency
• Partner closely with the Executive Recruiter to ensure only pre-vetted, qualified candidates advance to deep-dive interviews
• Participate in intake calls to capture role requirements, business context, and cultural priorities
• Support ongoing sourcing and research efforts to identify aligned talent pools
• Work across multiple industries with an industry-agnostic approach, while understanding vertical-specific expectations (e.g., automotive, industrial, CPG, PE-backed)

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in executive search (agency or in-house); retained search experience strongly preferred
• Experience recruiting for C-suite roles across sectors such as automotive, industrial, CPG, and private equity-backed companies is a nice to have
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active searches simultaneously
• Proven experience with sourcing and outreach tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)
• Professional, confident communication style in candidate-facing interactions
• Reliable, responsive, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
