Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. seeks a Vice President, Real Estate, to lead the administration, growth and day-to-day management of its nationwide real estate portfolio from the Chicago corporate office.

You will own leasing, acquisitions, financings, zoning, permitting, due diligence and environmental reviews, partnering with Legal, Regulatory, Finance and Operations to ensure compliant, well-managed assets driving growth.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and Illinois bar license in good standing.
• 8+ years of progressive commercial real estate experience, multi-state a plus.
• Experience drafting leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
• Knowledge of zoning, land use, and permitting processes.
• Supervising outside counsel and internal teams is a plus.
• Strong budgeting, reporting, and portfolio management capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, negotiation and execution of leases, amendments, renewals and terminations.
• Oversee property acquisitions and dispositions from initial stage to closing.
• Structure and manage mortgages, financings, and sale-leaseback transactions.
• Own zoning, entitlement, and permitting matters for new and existing sites.
• Coordinate due diligence: title, survey, environmental, and property condition reviews.
• Partner on cannabis licensing requirements tied to real estate and local approvals.
• Supervise real estate asset manager, lease administrator, and paralegal.
• Present portfolio performance updates to senior leadership.
