Job summary

PNC is seeking an experienced Executive Protection Agent based in Pittsburgh, PA to safeguard senior executives during domestic and international assignments. You will work within the Physical Security organization to plan and execute protective operations.

The role requires deep threat analysis, advanced tactical skills, and the ability to coordinate with legal, risk, and corporate communications. Sponsorship for visas or STEM OPT is not provided.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in law enforcement, executive protection, dignitary protection, or high-threat security operations preferred.
  • Prior service in a federal protective agency (e.g., U.S. Secret Service, Diplomatic Security Service, USMS, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced tactical training including firearms proficiency, evasive driving, defensive tactics, and close-quarters protection.
  • Deep understanding of threat assessment, risk analysis, and vulnerability identification in domestic and international contexts.
  • Experience operating in high-threat environments or under elevated security conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance detection, counter-surveillance, and protective intelligence practices.
  • Extensive experience in advance planning, site assessments, route planning, venue security coordination, and contingency responses.
  • Ability to create and execute comprehensive protection plans for domestic and international travel, events, and public appearances.
  • Skilled in managing motorcade logistics, arrival/departure procedures, and secure transportation protocols.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to align protection strategies with organizational goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing leadership and documenting protection plans and after-action reports.
  • Familiarity with digital security systems and secure communications platforms; experience with real-time incident monitoring and intelligence feeds.
  • Required to possess or obtain HR-218 LEOSA, PA Act 235 Lethal Weapons Training Act & TSA Armed Security Officer certification.

As an Executive Protection Agent within PNC's Physical Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh PA.

As an Executive Protection Agent within PNC's Executive Protection organization, you will provide close protection and other security-related functions for PNC Executives during domestic and/or international assignments.

Qualifications
Experience & Background

  • Extensive experience in advance planning, including site assessments, route planning, venue security coordination, and contingency response

  • Skilled in managing motorcade logistics, arrival/departure procedures, and secure transportation protocols.
Leadership & Program Management
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (physical security, legal, risk, compliance, corporate communications, 3rd Party Vendors) to align protection strategies with organizational goals.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to interface professionally with senior executives, family members, internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and discretion when interacting with global security vendors and foreign law enforcement/security agencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for briefing leadership and documenting protection plans and after-action reports.
Technical & Administrative Competence
  • Familiarity with digital security systems and secure communications platforms.
  • Experience with real-time incident monitoring and intelligence feeds.
  • Proficiency in tools for itinerary management, route mapping, and risk scoring.
Certifications & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security management, homeland security, or related field preferred.
  • Executive Protection certification from a recognized institution (e.g. ASIS, or similar) preferred
  • Additional certifications such as EMT-B, CPR/AED, or TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) are a plus.
  • Required to possess or obtain: HR-218 - Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA), PA Act 235 - Lethal Weapons Training Act & TSA Armed Security Officer (ASO) certification.
