Qualifications

  • Law enforcement experience preferred and able to work after hours/weekends and travel as needed.
  • Proficient in writing reports, creating presentations, and delivering in-person or remote training to employees.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert for corporate physical security strategy and programs within the region.
  • Perform local/regional assessments of protection risks/exposure and oversee site inspections.
  • Maintain and monitor access control and video surveillance systems; ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage relationships with law enforcement, vendors, and internal stakeholders; coordinate contracts and SLAs.
  • Develop and facilitate physical security training and participate in enterprise-wide security initiatives.

Position Overview

As a Physical Security Lead within PNC's Physical Security organization, you will be based in Mobile AL. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position. The preferred candidate for our Global Physical Security Organization should have law enforcement experience with a 4-year degree in Criminal Justice or similar fields of study, or work-related equivalent experience in the military, risk mitigation and compliance, or corporate management experience with a focus on physical security. Qualified candidate will be assigned a primary PNC office space in the Mobile AL area but will be asked to regularly travel in a geographical area that includes territory in Lower AL to the Florida Panhandle. You will be asked to conduct security awareness training, respond to critical incidents, and complete Physical Security risk assessments for PNC locations, including retail and non retail facility locations, off-site ATMs, or anywhere PNC has an asset. Occasional travel outside of this area to support the physical security needs of the bank may be required. Qualified candidates must have the ability to be on-call after hours/weekends and will receive calls that may require guidance, and/or an in-person response should criminal activity be confirmed. Qualified candidates will be asked to work with physical and electronic security vendors to ensure PNC assets are appropriately protected, and equipment is installed where applicable to meet PNC standards. Candidates will be asked to work closely with both facility and construction project managers, and to participate in and provide input and oversight for projects that impact physical security. Qualified candidates should possess proficient computer and communications skills to be able to write reports, create presentations, provide in-person or remote training to PNC employees, and be able to effectively communicate with PNC Management on the status of cases and/or physical security operations. Job Description

Acts as the subject matter expert of the overall corporate physical security strategy and all physical security programs, policies and procedures within their region. Technologically savvy, analyzes current conditions to identify new areas of risk and performs local or regional assessments of protection risks/exposure. Offers subject matter expertise surrounding the physical security strategy. Oversees and/or performs site inspections. Ensures adherence to the overall physical security strategy and standards. Develops scalable strategies and procedures to combat areas or risk/exposure including the maintenance and monitoring of access control systems and video surveillance systems. Applies knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local laws relating to security administration. Maintains established relationships with various areas of law enforcement in service of securing PNC employees, locations and assets, both in response to and in anticipation of threats. Investigates security issues/concerns with local police, employees and any 3rd party. Provides executive protection in limited instances. Manages assigned relationships which may include overseeing contract terms and ensuring that all service level agreements are met. Provides direction and guidance to contracted and full- time physical security staff. Consults with branch staff, retail operations managers and major building staff. Develops & facilitates the physical security training. Identifies new and innovative approaches to training of security systems and procedures. Proactively partners and networks with law enforcement in service of securing PNC employees, locations and assets, both in response to and in anticipation of threats. Manages & directs physical security initiatives and enterprise wide projects, research and assignments related to physical security.
