The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and able to manage competing priorities with minimal direction. This role involves collaboration across teams, learning new processes and tools, and helping leaders move projects forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four (4) years executive assistant experience required.
• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Project management skill.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee projects across the Marketing and Sales organization, including internal and external events, process improvement initiatives, customer meetings, and budget-related activities.
• Provide high-level administrative and project support enabling leaders to use their time effectively.
• Manage executive support activities and confidential information with discretion and attention to detail.
• Collaborate across Marketing Communications, Sales Operations, Outside Sales, and company leadership to support shared objectives.
• Develop knowledge of the company’s sales and marketing processes to support management activities.

Altec is seeking an Executive Project Specialist to join our Marketing and Sales organization in Birmingham, AL. This role coordinates and completes a variety of projects while providing high-level support to the Marketing and Sales Executive Team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized team player who can manage competing priorities, adapt to changing needs, and take initiative with minimal direction. Altec specializes in the manufacture, sale, and service of aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and specialty equipment for the electric utility, telecommunications, tree care, construction, and light and sign maintenance industries. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee projects across the Marketing and Sales organization, including internal and external events, process improvement initiatives, customer meetings, and budget-related activities.
• Work independently within established procedures, proactively identifying needs, resolving issues, and advancing projects with minimal supervision.
• Manage multiple assignments, shifting priorities, and changing business needs while consistently meeting deadlines and commitments.
• Collaborate across Marketing Communications, Sales Operations, Outside Sales, company leadership, and other functions to build strong working relationships and support shared objectives.
• Provide high-level administrative and project support that enables leaders to use their time effectively and engage productively with associates and stakeholders.
• Manage executive support activities and confidential information with discretion, sound judgment, and close attention to detail.
• Develop and apply knowledge of the company’s sales and marketing processes, procedures, and organizational structure to support management activities.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new processes, tools, and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Four (4) years executive assistant experience required
• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills internally and externally.
• High standard of ethics and honesty.
• Project management skill.
• Computer literate.

The job level is able to be adjusted at time of hire, if the candidate meets the qualifications for jobs of a more experienced level in the career path.

Financial Budgeting, Capital, and/or Manpower Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing and maintaining the Sales Team budget
• Responsible for developing a project budget that aligns with the overall salesbudget
• Responsible to consistently review expenses and adherence to the sales budget
