WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

An Executive Producer who brings the company's programs and events to life, from concept through production and final delivery to the client. Client and project leadership are central to this role, which drives both the work and the process forward.

This role works collaboratively with Creative and Accounts leads to set the tone for each program, achieve team objectives and financial targets, and elevate the standard of work across MAS.

On a project-by-project basis, this role will manage freelance and full-time Producers and Coordinators, and oversee and mentor junior team members assigned to the team.

YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • 8+ years producing events, with hands‑on experience overseeing and producing core event logistics: catering, meeting space, housing, AV production, fabrication, and more.
  • Experience leading and mentoring producers and coordinators on projects.
  • A strong creative instinct and the ability to develop concepts and push ideas forward.
  • 8+ years of client‑facing experience, with the ability to advise, consult, manage budgets, and resolve conflict while protecting the client relationship.
  • Comfort presenting and pitching, both to clients and in new business settings.
  • Fluency in event industry norms across venue contracting, production, and vendor management, including:
    • Venue contracting: the full process, including concessions
    • Housing: room blocks, shoulder dates, cumulative blocks, and attrition
    • Catering: food and beverage minimums
    • AV and production: contracts, labor, load‑in and load‑out
  • Budget management experience with direct financial responsibility, ownership, and accountability to others, at or above $3 million+.
  • Expert judgment and the ability to make sound decisions in gray areas.
  • The ability to run multiple projects at once without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
  • Strong communication across every level: employees, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong tech skills, especially Google Workspace and Slack. Comfortable in Google Sheets and Slides.
  • An established network of vendors and freelance talent, a plus.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine desire to work alongside other department teams.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours around live events.
  • A positive attitude in all interactions, internal and external.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to jump in on work outside your job description.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative & Project Leadership
  • Develop extraordinary concepts that inspire clients and champion forward‑thinking ideas that change how people experience brands.
  • Oversee brand experience projects from pitch through execution.
  • Protect creative integrity by clearly articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices.
  • Carry that creative vision through to every deliverable.
  • Continually pursue innovative solutions and production methods.
  • Identify, negotiate, and book external resources as needed.
Client Management
  • Own the primary line of communication with clients, including the difficult and necessary conversations.
  • Develop meaningful client relationships rooted in trust in the MAS approach.
  • Be a resource to the team as client needs or budgets shift, and help secure client approvals.
  • Look for new opportunities to deepen existing clients' engagement with MAS offerings.
  • Network with colleagues to share ideas, knowledge, and resources.
  • Know the success stories from across the network, and share them with the team and clients in the right context.
Budget Management
  • Working with the Director of Production, build program budgets and manage revenue throughout client programs.
  • Translate costs into a sell price, with the detail needed to communicate clearly to the client.
  • Manage, mitigate, and negotiate third party costs.
  • Keep the client budget current at all times on assigned programs.
  • Reconcile program costs against budget for assigned programs.
  • Work with Accounting to ensure proper billing and payment for services rendered.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspire and challenge the team to push the creative further.
  • Lead the project team, including cross‑departmentally, mentoring producers and coordinators and giving constructive feedback throughout.
  • Run regular team meetings and keep communication flowing between team members, making sure all deadlines are met.
  • Develop and actively manage vendor and freelance talent relationships to secure the best available talent and pricing.
  • Provide expert leadership across production complexities and guide the successful outcomes of one of a kind productions.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting hourly rate for this role is between $70 - $125. Our salary ranges are based on third‑party national average market compensation analysis. The actual rate is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
