Job Overview
  • Office Policy: Hybrid environment – 3 days in office

The Director, Production is an integral position on the Experiential Team responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of various aspects of agency projects, from brief to execution. This role will ensure that all project relevant resources including operations and logistics are allocated and delivered on‑time, on‑budget and of a quality expected by THE TEAM and its clients.

Additionally, the Director, Production will contribute to the department operations, processes, budgeting (for live projects and pitches), agency quality control, third‑party supplier management as well as continually mentoring and developing the Production team members.

Please note, due to the nature of event delivery, there may be occasional need to work nights and weekends to accommodate the delivery of projects. This role also requires 30%–50% domestic travel annually.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and manage various elements of large‑scale projects from planning through execution.
  • Work collaboratively with all account teams to ensure flawless project delivery against the client’s objectives and agreed budget.
  • Manage vendor relationships with audio, lighting, staging, fabrication, graphics, digital technology, venues, labor, and other project execution partners to ensure that all agency suppliers meet THE TEAM standards of sustainability, ethical purchasing, diversity, quality control and pricing structure.
  • Communicate regularly with agency and client teams regarding roles and responsibilities, budget, schedules and project status.
  • Develop, manage and reconcile project budgets of $2M+, ensuring projects are correctly budgeted for and meet expected financial targets.
  • Develop production schedules, run‑of‑shows and enforce deliverable dates key to program success.
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring that all client needs are addressed in a timely fashion throughout project duration.
  • Manage and develop relationships with THE TEAM trusted suppliers and third‑party parties throughout project duration.
  • Lead a team across multiple client accounts, providing guidance, communicating a vision and challenging the team to achieve goals.
  • Create a positive, collaborative, teamwork environment based on the company culture and values.
  • Promote the team environment and provide work direction and guidance including coaching, professional development and training; guide team on deliverables and establish best practices with project management.
  • Cultivate account‑specific collaboration and have awareness of nuances within individual account teams, continually guiding and evolving team process, serving as a trusted resource on integrated teams.
  • Contribute to business development efforts for new revenue opportunities with existing and potential clients.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8+ years of relevant/increasing operations experience (preferably in an experiential agency, sports or entertainment field).
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • In‑depth understanding of the experiential landscape and proven ability to deliver projects from the ground up.
  • Confidence to present and communicate with senior clients and ability to independently craft complex, nuanced written communications for internal and external outreach.
  • Capability to navigate tough issues and influence stakeholders toward desired outcomes.
  • Foresee issues developing before they arise and develop solutions as needed.
  • Comfortable working as an integral part of a team environment.
  • Consistently demonstrate a solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Lead and inspire other team members and generate positive morale.
  • Multitask and prioritize workload while coordinating with others to proactively meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with a ‘can‑do’ attitude at all times.

Base salary range: $90K – $140K, plus bonus potential if applicable for the role.

Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training, level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, and tenure at the company. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Compensation decisions are dependent on circumstances of each role.
