Job summary

advisor.TV in Ponte Vedra is seeking an Executive Producer to package and launch new shows. You will identify hosts, cast pilots, and secure sponsors for a slate of local conversations about business exits, startups, and immigrant founders.

compensation is points-based rather than salary; you will earn recurring points on each show you originate, with growth as the slate expands. This is a highly entrepreneurial, non-remote role in our studio setup.

advisor.TV is hiring an Executive Producer in Ponte Vedra. Paid in points, not salary. Read that twice before you read the rest.

Where we actually are.

We are a startup. A very small team, a studio in Nocatee Town Center, and a big vision. advisor.TV ran in Chicago for a decade, more than 1,000 conversations since 2014, sponsored in that era by Microsoft. Then it went dormant for five years. We are restarting it here, in Ponte Vedra, as city two. Orlando is next. We are telling you this up front because you should know exactly what you are joining: the beginning, not the middle.

What we believe.

Nobody builds alone. We put the people building Jacksonville in front of each other, on camera, and we write down what they know before it is lost.

What we make.

Fully produced shows, each hosted by a respected local operator who owns a subject: business exits, acquisitions, immigrant founders, startups on the runway. Two episodes a month. The host pays for the season, $2,500 a month, or a sponsor underwrites it. The platform can be sponsored. The conversation cannot be bought.

What an Executive Producer does.

In television the EP credit goes to whoever packages the show: brings the talent, brings the financing, gets it made. That is this job, literally. You find the host. You cast the pilot. You land the sponsor. You hand the running show to our operations lead and go build the next one. Your credit runs on every episode you originate. You will be doing this before the playbook is finished, because you are one of the people writing it.

How you are paid.

Twenty points of first dollar gross on every show on your slate. In plain English: no producer fee, no base, no draw. Twenty percent of every dollar your shows bring in, from the first dollar, for as long as they are on air. One host paid show is $500 a month. A slate of twenty is $10,000 a month, and we treat twenty as the floor of a serious slate, not the ceiling. The studio can carry a hundred shows a month across two rooms, a sponsored season pays more than a host season so your points do too, and casting add ons and referrals to our marketing partner sit on top. Month one will not look like any of that, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Who you are.

We are not asking for a producing credit or a rolodex. Relationships can be built. What cannot be taught is this: you get an idea in your head and you cannot leave it alone until it exists. You are curious about people for real, not as a technique. You can walk into a room of strangers and leave with three conversations that matter. You hear no and treat it as information. You are drawn to people who build things, and you want to be the reason their story gets told. Once you have a vision, you are unstoppable. This is not a remote role. We huddle every day at the studio in Nocatee Town Center. The goals are ambiguous and a daily rhythm is how small teams hit them. If you are looking for something to drift into, this is the wrong slate.
