WCCO is looking for an Executive Producer to join the team!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Oversee strategy and execution of 5 hours of morning news, from 5am-10am, on all platforms
• Motivate our teams to build unique, visual, emotional and compelling content
• Lead aggressive coverage of all breaking news and weather events
• Review and copy edit news scripts to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with all FCC requirements
• Understand the brand and manage the broadcast and digital platforms so product they are consistent with the brand
• Use social media and digital tools to research, discover and distribute content
• Mentor and inspire on-air talent, producers and photographers to work and collaborate well together
• Hold regular critique and feedback sessions
• Work with News Director and Assistant News Director to own all station events and community outreach projects
• Complete additional duties as assigned by News Director

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years experience as a producer or 3+ years experience as a news manager in a Top 25 market
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or Communications

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 105,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
