Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a General Manager to lead a corrugated packaging manufacturing facility in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. The role requires strategic oversight of safety, quality, production, cost, and customer satisfaction, with accountability for overall profitability.

The GM will drive continuous improvement, manage corrugator operations, and guide cross-functional teams across operations, sales, logistics, safety, and maintenance to achieve plant objectives and business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required.
• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of operations/production management experience.
• Experience in the corrugated packaging industry is mandatory.
• Direct corrugator operations experience and sheet plant familiarity preferred.
• Proven experience managing plant financials, P&L, and budgets.
• Strong leadership, communication, and change-management capabilities.
• Solid understanding of continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the manufacturing facility to meet operational, financial, safety, quality, and customer service objectives.
• Own plant profitability, budgets, capital expenditures, and financial performance.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead operations focusing on productivity, throughput, efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and cost performance.
• Foster a safety-focused culture while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coach and develop plant leadership and cross-functional teams, promoting accountability.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and profitability.
• Collaborate with sales/commercial teams to drive local and regional business growth.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
• Analyze plant performance data and financial metrics to anticipate issues and take corrective actions.
