Job summary

WestRock Company seeks a General Manager to own the performance and profitability of a corrugated packaging manufacturing facility in the United States. The role focuses on safety, quality, cost, and productivity while pursuing regional growth and sales expansion.

The GM will lead a high-performing team, implement strategic plans, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet short- and long-term objectives and optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business or Engineering.
• 7+ years of progressive management experience in a Corrugated Packaging facility; 5+ years in operations/production management.
• Proven budgeting and financial management experience.
• Track record of goal setting and leading diverse teams through change.
• Knowledge of capital management (P&L and budgets) and financial data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the plant's profitability and ensure safety and quality requirements are met.
• Develop and implement business plans aligned with company goals and strategy.
• Build a high performing team and drive change initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic direction.
• Identify growth opportunities with commercial/sales partners and manage key accounts.
