Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and eligibility for California medical licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in a pediatric-related specialty.
• Formal clinical training and experience in academic medicine.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience guiding interdisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record in quality improvement and patient safety.
• Training in improvement science (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead BCH's integrated Quality & Safety strategy and set systemwide priorities.
• Oversee clinical effectiveness, patient safety, and harm reduction initiatives.
• Co-lead governance committees and engage with UCSF Health forums.
• Drive data-driven improvement including analytics and dashboards.
• Mentor leaders and build high-reliability capabilities.
