JPMorganChase in Chicago seeks an External Communications Manager Vice President to support executive speaker programs for the Payments team. You will coordinate with internal partners and subject matter experts to position speakers through industry events and thought leadership.

Leading content development, training, and messaging, you’ll drive impact across Payments priorities while ensuring control and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience in communications or marketing within technology/fintech industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage large‑scale, complex projects with discipline and adaptability.
• Willingness to travel for events.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, planning and speaker proposal submissions for executive‑level speakers at industry events.
• Create engaging thought leadership topics and messaging to support payments priorities.
• Manage project plans and timelines for executive speaker engagements.
• Conduct competitive analysis and social listening to inform strategy.
• Lead end‑to‑end executive speaker support including preparation and training.
• Collaborate with Payments Marketing and Payments Events teams to align with event strategy.
• Ensure content complies with control, audit, legal and compliance requirements.
• Track progress and report against deadlines.
• Coordinate with CIB Communications resources to align with company priorities.
• Protect and enhance JPMorgan Chase's reputation.
