Job summary

CrossWay Community Church of Milwaukee is seeking a full-time Pastor to oversee discipleship and ministry operations. The candidate will work with the elder and deacon teams, preach 4–12 times yearly, and participate in pastoral care with the team.

The role includes potential elder candidacy and further ministry opportunities aligned to gifting. The ideal candidate has a pastoral heart, executive pastoral skills, and strong leadership, communication, and relational abilities to guide a

Qualifications

• Formal theological education with willingness to obtain an MDiv within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Give primary oversight to discipleship strategies (small groups, youth ministry, Every Member Discipleship).
• Oversee ministry operations to align with mission and vision, managing church rhythms and transitions.
• Collaborate with the senior pastor, elder and deacon teams, and church administrator; be a catalyst, not a lone worker.
• Preach 4–12 times per year; additional teaching opportunities may arise.
• Share in general pastoral care with the other full-time pastor and lay elder team.
• Pursue additional ministry avenues per gifting (counseling, musical leadership, etc.).
• Enter elder candidacy program after initial years; work toward voting elder status.
