Job summary

Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo, MI seeks an Executive Pastor/Executive Director to lead the financial and operational resources, ensuring faithful stewardship and administrative excellence in support of the church’s mission.

This full-time role reports to the Senior Pastor and oversees Finance, Facilities, Ministry Support, and HR while driving vision implementation and external communications.

Qualifications

• Must meet Biblical elder qualifications and CBC membership.
• Strong leadership, communication, and relational skills.
• Experience leading multiple staff and departments.
• Bachelor’s degree with Bible knowledge or related area.

Responsibilities

• Foster servant-hearted staff culture and high morale.
• Provide strategic leadership for financial operations, budgeting, accounting, and internal controls.
• Oversee non-pastoral staff and departments (Finance, Facilities, Ministry Support, HR).
• Implement strategic objectives and manage ongoing ministries and administrative tasks.
• Ensure timely internal communication among staff, elders, deacons, volunteers, and congregation.
• Plan and execute special projects, conferences, and events.
• Coordinate facility use, ministry activities, and scheduling.
• Maintain current policies and align with elder and Senior Pastor decisions.
• Develop external communications to raise community awareness and digital presence.
