Job summary

Kalamazoo Gospel Ministries seeks an experienced Executive Director to provide strategic leadership across guest-facing ministries, ensuring operational excellence, financial stewardship, and spiritual direction in a Christ-centered environment.

The role leads multiple departments, develops measurable outcomes, and builds partnerships with community agencies and churches to transform lives and move guests from crisis toward stability and growth, guided by biblical principles.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible leadership in ministry, nonprofit, human services, or related field.
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
• Current Michigan licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• Experience with homelessness, addiction recovery, mental health, trauma-informed care, discipleship, and transformational ministry preferred.
• Experience in leading leaders, managing multiple departments, and implementing organizational strategy.
• Willingness to pursue biblical counseling training and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for strategic direction, operational effectiveness, and measurable outcomes for all guest-facing ministries.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets in collaboration with leadership to ensure financial stewardship.
• Lead the organization’s shift to outcome-based measurement and accountability for guest success.
• Foster partnerships with community agencies, churches, healthcare providers, and educational institutions.
• Ensure programs and services align with gospel-centered transformation and ministry mission.
• Coach, mentor, and develop direct-report managers and directors.
