Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across direct-industrial/commercial and subcontracting divisions. The role calls for a hands-on, strategic leader with deep electrical contracting experience, able to balance owner relations with GC-driven delivery, and to drive safety, quality, and growth.

The right candidate will oversee project execution, budgeting, and performance metrics, while championing efficiency, risk management, and a zero-incident safety

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in the electrical contracting industry.
• Experience as Operations Manager, General Manager, or COO in an electrical contractor environment.
• Deep understanding of both direct-to-customer industrial/commercial work and subcontracting under General Contractors.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibility and improving project margins.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field; Master Electrician license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations, project management, estimating, and service departments for both direct-to-customer and subcontracted work.
• Ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality project delivery across all project types.
• Standardize processes and best practices while allowing flexibility for direct clients vs General Contractors.
• Drive continuous improvement in productivity, labor efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Ability and willingness to integrate other companies through acquisition.
• Provide executive oversight on major projects, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to maintain relationships with end customers and GC.
• Monitor project financial performance and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget and operational KPIs.
• Negotiate vendor agreements to secure favorable pricing and terms.
