Job summary

University Health is seeking an Associate Chief Nursing Officer to lead patient care and nursing services 24/7. The role works under the Chief Nursing Executive to organize, plan, and direct nursing operations while ensuring high-quality care and fiscal responsibility.

As a member of hospital leadership, you will collaborate with UT Health San Antonio and other senior leaders to align nursing services with long‑term objectives and strategies, while maintaining regulatory compliance and staff

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Minimum five years of nursing management experience.
• Minimum ten years of progressive clinical experience in a multifaceted health system.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 leadership for patient care and nursing functions across the hospital.
• Direct, plan, organize, and manage all patient care services.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to achieve quality care and fiscal accountability.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and nursing staff competency across units.
