Job summary

Hilton Short Hills, located in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking a skilled Executive Meetings Manager. This position reports to Crescent Hotels & Resorts and focuses on selling group business from all markets, handling up to 10 room nights, and maximizing hotel revenues.

You will assist in the Sales Department operations, manage client accounts, and solicit new business to meet revenue goals. The role requires strong negotiation and client-relations abilities and availability for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in hotel group sales, meetings, or event sales.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, marketing, or related field preferred.
• Strong negotiation and written communication skills.
• Availability for evenings and weekends when groups require it.

Responsibilities

• Responds in a timely manner to incoming group/catering business opportunities.
• Ensures that all business is booked within hotel parameters.
• Conducts hotel site inspections and client presentations.
• Create contracts and related booking documentation; manage and maintain client account files.
• Prospect for new business – participate in sales blitzes, cold calling and attending industry events as needed.
• Builds and maintains strong client relationships.
• Details events to include all food & beverage, setup and AV needs; coordinate with clients and hotel departments.
• Create group resumes and communicate client needs to all departments of the hotel.
• Use negotiating skills to close on business and negotiate contracts.
