Job summary

The American Institute of Architects seeks a Director for Leadership Affairs to spearhead executive communications and enhance engagement with members and the public. The role involves crafting narratives aligned with AIA's strategic goals and managing communications for the CEO and senior leaders.

Successful candidates will have significant experience in writing and advising senior executives, as well as a proficiency in project management and strategic thinking. A hybrid work model is in place with periodic on-site requirements in Washington D.C.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in strategic communications.
• Experience with executive communications or thought leadership.
• Familiarity with AIA and the architecture profession is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive leadership communications strategy.
• Write and edit speeches and messaging for the CEO and President.
• Manage speaking opportunities and events for AIA leadership.
