Job summary

Biogen is seeking a strategic Head of Site Engineering & Facilities in Milwaukee to lead manufacturing engineering, facilities, maintenance, and utilities. You will drive reliability, compliance, and capital planning across the site, building a high-performing team and partnering with cross-functional groups and external regulators.

The role demands extensive biotech/pharma experience, deep cGMP knowledge, and a track record of delivering complex capital projects while maintaining inspection

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 15+ years of experience in biotech, pharma, or related field.
• Experience leading engineering, facilities, maintenance, and/or utilities organizations.
• Experience leading large cross-functional teams and developing leaders.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, facilities, utilities, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing operating budgets, capital projects, and contractor relationships.
• Deep understanding of cGMP, EHS, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineering and facilities operations across manufacturing, maintenance, and utilities.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve manufacturing performance, capacity, reliability, and compliance.
• Contribute to site leadership and long-term strategic planning.
• Develop and mentor a high-performing engineering and facilities team.
• Oversee shutdown planning, readiness, and business continuity programs.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, EHS, quality, and regulatory requirements.
