Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Sr. Director, Head of Site Engineering & Facilities at Research Triangle Park, NC. You will oversee manufacturing infrastructure, drive reliability, compliance, and capital project execution across a complex biopharmaceutical site.

As a member of Site Leadership, you will shape strategy, lead a high-performing team, manage budgets, ensure inspection readiness, and advance digital transformation while partnering with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 15+ years of biotech/pharma or related field experience.
• Experience leading engineering, facilities, maintenance and utilities.
• Proven ability to manage operating budgets and capital projects.
• Knowledge of cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site engineering and facilities functions.
• Develop and execute engineering and facilities strategies.
• Serve on Site Leadership Team and drive long-term planning.
• Develop and mentor a team of engineering leaders.
• Oversee shutdown planning, readiness, and emergency response.
• Ensure adherence to cGMP, EHS, quality, regulatory requirements.
• Manage budgets and capital projects; liaise with stakeholders.
• Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement.
